It looks like the pics linked to in the Redit thread have been taken down. Anyone have links to the pics from other sources?

While new garment styles are fun to speculate about, I seriously doubt TBM women will be allowed tank tops anytime soon (as in within the next couple decades). The church is too invested in the modesty rhetoric. Also, the church appears to be doubling down rather than enlarging the tent. I just can't imagine Bednar, Holland, and Oaks suddenly being okay with shoulders, and that's what it would take.

oh man, those fbook comments are gold! It's a perfect microcosm of mormon culture. A few zealots, a few prudes, a lot of name dropping, getting excited over nonsense and much ado over nothing.

Let's pretend this turns out to be actually true and implemented right after general conference. I still will not go back to wearing undergarments sold at "Joseph's Secret" or other religious retailers.

I say bring back the full length long sleeve garments...
In the comments on the Facebook page you can read the older TBMs voice opposition to any garment changes that will make wearing them easier and more comfortable. It's as if they are saying, "I've suffered with these garments for 50 years and you can suffer too."

Since we're on an underwear train here, I just picked some new britches. Reebok had some athletic undershorts on sale and they are fabulous. Just the right amount of compression stretches just right and it has a mesh "pouch". Breathable but not see thru. All this for only $8.

I swear, if the church could admit the spirit of inspiration could come from somewhere else besides 15 old white guys, maybe they could partner with Nike, Adidas, New Era, And1, Reebok, Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, UnderArmor - ANYONE and design some G's that actually made sense. They don't have to get rid of the old stuff, just add new options.

The military issue G's have the markings silk screened on the inside. No stitched markings. Why is this not a valid option for everyone?!

Anyhow, if the pic of discussion in this thread is legit, they seem to be taking a step in the right direction. A page out of the Apple playbook. Evolution instead of revolution. Geez, where's a prophet when you need one?

It would be a great day for angels too, since sleeves and wings are mutually exclusive. Personally, I'd take the power of flight over upper-arm modesty any day.

Ha! I've seen this one before. Is it true that lds inc modified the original to be more... contemporary with modern Mormonism?
