Do you eat food at church? If so what?
A while back, my son popped popcorn and took it to SM.

When my kids were little and we still attended I brought the ubiquitous Cheerios as well as fruit roll-ups and Benadryl.
(J/k on the Benadryl)

This is a quality troll move. You should be proud.

I recall one *ahem* large individual who, as soon as sacrament was done being passed, would crack open a 2L bottle of Sprite. Nothing made my 15 year old self more jealous than that *pfffft* of soda being opened while I knew I had another 45-50 minutes of sitting in sacrament meeting with no sustenance.
The most I ever got away with was as a deacon sneaking in licorice whips and eating them while waiting to pass sacrament...good times.

It would be good to have something both nutritious and high in fiber. Baggies with mini carrots, jicama cut into slices, celery sticks and broccoli bunches would be healthful during Sacrament Meeting, but not on F&T Sundays.
Stock up those diaper bags with goodies and share them with those around you. Mirabile dictu in the pews.

The leftover sacrament bread.
Too soon?

I always had bishops that would scold people for feeding their kids so most of the wards we were in there wasn't food. I remember when people started bringing water bottles in to sacrament feeling really surprised about it.
But a few years ago this one family started bringing like a picnic. Sandwiches. Fried chicken. Went on for months. My kids were jealous of that every week.

This is where you step up to the plate and start one-upping them. Full-on brunch at a table set up in the cultural hall? Checkmate.

I'm thinking Chinese take-out if I'm ever unfortunate enough to attend again...
Dang it... Now my stomach is telling me I'm hungry.

Mints, chips, sandwiches, cold mac'n'cheese, croque-monsieur.
They all passed muster

One advantage to having small kids is that you bring snacks for them that you can "inspect." DW and I would have to pack extra crackers & Cherios since we both would munch on them.

It would be so awesome to have a pizza delivered in SM. "Hello, Pizza Hut? I'd like to order a large Meat Lovers pizza. Yes. Please deliver to the LDS church on Escalante Street. Yes, to the chapel, third pew from the back. Sure, let's add a two liter Pepsi. Thirty minutes? Perfect."

Fry sauce in the little cups. Chicken nuggets on the passing trays.
A noise is heard in the foyer. A bearded man dressed in robes bursts in and says, "My chapel is a house of announcements and talks and you have made it a den of munchies".

I had to look up what a croque-monsieur is, as I didn't know. Seems like it is a fancy name for a grilled cheese sandwich. That would certainly be good at church.

I did this while in the Aaronic priesthood years.

Challenge accepted. I'll tie it into a lesson in EQ and we all get to have pizza during the lesson.
