I am not sure if this hit the NOM board/ ****BOM musical convert Liza Morong left the church. ****

Here's article of her conversion and "I am a Mormon" profile (which is now deleted):

And a reddit follow up with some links to her tweets about no longer being LDS:

She must have learned she would have to wear polygamy panties the rest of her life to be a good mormon. This would certainly cut into her wardrobe life having sailing as a hobby. Sailing...Sailing takes me away....

I keep hearing about the polygamy panties. Exactly WTH are they. Is this them?

20/20,
These must be the tourist version of the polygamy panties. The kind tourists will buy without really knowing what they are getting. I do like the thong approach to polygamy panties though. Might add a little more zest to life.

Polygamy Panties are the echoes of antiquities from Joseph Smith to Warren Jeff's inward commitments to the scandalous habits of belt notching teenage brides.

I'd be interested to see a follow up story highlight a disenchanted convert. How many converts end up leaving within the first 2 years? Nearly all of my mission converts have left.

I couldn't even imagine the "surprised" feeling a convert would have when they open their first pink or blue plastic bags of polygamy panties in the temple and step into them for the first time. BIC's think it's normal because mom, dad, uncle Ted, and Aunt Wendy normalized them.

Polygamy panties?? Really mature guys...
;)

Yeah, yeah, I know. My personal seer and revelator has been credited somewhere on the internet(so you know it's true!) as saying this:

So I'll get off my high horse. All I know is I had a post censored for referring to mental illness as a female dog so this particular description of the holy garment has got to be pushing some sort of boundary, right? But you keep doing you (you're all 13 year old boys, right? :P )

But as to the OP, I feel bad for anyone who goes through a conversion one way or another in the public eye. The amount of grief you must get from both sides in this day and age must be really aggravating.

They don't deserve to be dignified with the name "panties". They're more like pantaloons.

Well... If you know anything about the history of the ugliest underwear ever invented, then Polygamy Panties is one of the most accurate descriptions ever invented.

I disagree strongly that the name "panties" is dignified (all the women in my life HATE that word), but I do agree, pantaloons is much more apt. :)

While they're in the running and certainly take home the trophy for most boring underwear ever I've found a lot of underwear that challenges that claim. I won't link though as it starts to border on NSFW. Use your imagination...or Google ;)

God forbid something happens to me and the cops have to look through my google searches.

Googled "the ugliest underwear invented"

I might have typed "underwear to eat when your hungriest"!

This thread got way off topic. My apologies for asking about polygamy panties when this is clearly about a woman who had left the church for totally unknown reasons.

Should we start another topic on polygamy panties?

They are very inexpensive as far as purchase price goes but when you add in 10% of your income to be able to get all the blessings from the undergarments, they have to be some of the most expensive on the planet. Way more expensive than body armor that police and military use to protect themselves.

I wish we did know the reasons.

The church (of course) publicized her conversion. IMO, she needs to publicize her deconversion.
