Back in my Church days it was fairly common to refer to people as god-like. A particular prophet, apostle, or even a humble bishop or ward member would be given the complement, "He is a very god-like person."
Two observations: 1. It would more commonly be applied to a man than a woman.
2. I applied it to my Mom because, 1. She was well read and smart. 2. She was kind to everyone, with very rare exceptions. She never complained, even when I caused her grief.
I always figured God, whoever that was, loved me at least as much as my Mother.

Who wants to guess what my question for Mr. Blues is?

If I use the Bible to define what a god-like person would be like, I'd have to say it would be someone who is temperamental, jealous, spiteful, and who is totally down with slavery and genocide.

As always, when we start asking questions about "god," I have to ask: Which god?

She is a mother deity specializing in pregnancy and childbirth. And also, we are delighted to report, rainbows. How sweet. Ixchel is also known as God O. (Or rather, Goddess O.) O is obviously for Obstetrics.

She invented weaving and, being partly waterfall herself, takes charge of downpours. Her hair is very snaky — it’s made from real snakes.

If humans upset her she can get very grumpy. If you see her wearing her crossbones skirt and writhing serpent hair, do try not to be noticed.

Although known as a moon goddess, she has earth aspects too, and refuses to be placed in any category. According to some sources she is also the mother of the Bacabs.

The girlfriend of Sun God Itzamna, she is knocking on a bit and seems red-faced and wrinkly just like him. She’s into all the crafts: weaving, watercolors and probably bottles her own chutney.

How about just a "good" person? What is a good person really like?

Simple, not controlling, kind - but not a doormat, peaceful, logical, willing to change mind with new information, not rigid, thoughtful, researcher, clever, funny - happy, fun.

Angel, you sum up my Mom pretty well. I think she might have been a little to subservient to my Dad, but that was part of her 20th century culture.
When I was little I idolized my Dad for traits like these: always being/acting like he was right, a good provider, competent, generally quiet unless provoked, loyal to his family and what he thought was right, and more open minded than the average Mormon. (Faint praise- I know )
I bring this up because kids often worship their parents, at least we used to.

So what about Jehovah? I think Hagoth hits the high points, but he chose a negative perspective.
What do I think O.T. Jehovah was like? He was powerful, liked flattery, he was vengeful unto the third & fourth generations, but Moses and Abraham were able to reason with him at times., etc. He was just plain mean to Job, but delt creatively with Jonah and Isaiah. He was gracious to King David, to a fault, in my opinion. But he wasn't part of a coverup for King David, as I understand it. That's how we know David was such a jerk.
I'm just talking about Jehovah as a literary figure. I am reminded by Dan McClellan that the Bible is not univocal, it contains many perspectives. And so the God of the O.T. will consequently have varied characteristics, and many different names, which is confusing to an honest reader.
