The scary transgender threat

Post by Hagoth »

The NCAA reported that of the 510,000 student athletes in their organization, fewer than TEN are transgender. That's less than .002%

https://thehill.com/homenews/lgbtq/5046 ... ge-sports/

Compare that to the amount of time and money spent villainizing and bullying these kids.

To bring it closer to home for Mormons, of the almost 60,000 student athletes in this state when the big blowup happened in the state congress, there were FOUR transgender students in the state, and only one who wanted to play competitively.

So, no effort is too much to keep I tiny minority of children out of sports. Meanwhile, firearms are the number one killer of children in our country. Apparently that is far more acceptable in our inverted "conservative" morality than seeing even one trans kid kick a ball around a field.

How many of these people even know a trans person? Many of them probably couldn't find one to spit on if they went looking for them, yet their very existence is the number one threat for many Americans. Why are they so afraid? What is the political advantage or it, other than creating a completely helpless villain to attack?

And I'm not even going to talk about what it means that suicide is the number one killer of kids here in Jesus' very own Zion.

Yeah, but the ISSUE is worth billyuns and billyuns in political capital. That's the real issue.
Personally, I wouldn't want my daughter wrestling against a boy, but if she really wants to I won't stop her. Sports are just an escape from reality anyway, until they're not.
I hope this post gets some feedback, even though you posted in "The Coffee Shop."
God is Love. God is Truth. The greatest problem with organized religion is that the organization becomes god, rather than a means of serving God.

Well, by the old guidelines, anything political belonged here. But this is not something I would like to discuss in polite society over coffee, so I am not sure it belongs here. How about putting it in the we hate Transphobes forum.

I have a trans in-law-sib/daughter’s housemate. Seeing as she is too terrified to come out to her biological parents, who took 15 years before they treated my daughter as a fellow human instead of devil’s spawn, so she has good reason to be terrified to come out as trans to bio parents. So, we have adopted her and what is going on is terrifying.
