Hope yours is as good as mine, DW and I managed to wean her eldest sister off Tithing.
She asked how we were doning at church and mentioned tithingsettlement.
So my DW pipped up, said we only pay on surplus. As we haven´t got a surplus, we give 0.

SIL was surprized, then DW opened up about the affair in our stake.
2 hours later SIL was reeling in her chair together with her never-mo husband after we were done.

And SIL said: Never ever am I paying again to this so-called Church.

BTW I received new financial reports, quite interesting.
The bishop who received fastofferings received even more than we knew, 300K was our guesstimate.
Latest figure my friend got his hands on point to upwards of 500.000 Euro's.

And SP helped himself to at least 125.000 Euro´s

In the meantime, I still consider tithing settlement to be one of the many "proofs" that the church is NOT true. Jesus was always about anything but money and the annual guilt trip/shakedown is about as far from what he taught as you can get.
