90% of what Mormons eat on a daily basis is less healthy than coffee and tea. Most would benefit from a week or two of a coffee-and-tea-only diet.

You forgot about the power of prayer.

.... Please bless the donuts that they may nourish and strengthen our bodies and we ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

I went to a fireside that was supposed to be about the Word of Wisdom. The speaker turned out to be extremely fanatical about food-related conspiracies and seemed to think home-grown sprouts were about the only food that wasn't part of a conspiracy to poison us or turn our brains into zombie mush. Afterward the poor kid who was asked to bless the refreshments (cake and Kool-Aid) prayed that "this food won't harm us too bad."

With green tea being the single most healthy beverage, it becomes doubly important for Mormons to avoid its health-giving properties. No need to linger on the living side of the veil. :o
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.
