Nope not the same Bishop. I resigned this time via email to salt lake. Im hoping it will take less time but who knows. Dont really care at this point, it is such a relief to be free !!!! Thanks to all on this site who have helped me over the years of anguish. Ive come a long way since almost taking my own life in Dec 2018 . Thanks again to all.

Your story has been unfolding here at NOM. I appreciate your posting and am glad you’ve stuck around and shared it with us.
So what’s next? Are you finding time for your other hobbies and things you enjoy? Mormonism is a familiar thing on both sides of belief. Find something new to do now that you’re free.

Congrats on the resignation! I did mine in 2014. Don’t know if it’s different depending on where you live but out here in Eastern Canada it has meant that not a single effort has been made by missionaries or church leaders to contact me or harass or reclaim my soul. I’ve been blissfully off the radar.

I finally decided I didnt want to live what time I have left on earth living a lie . I no longer live under my wifes threat of divorce , if thats what she decides soooo be it !!!!! I have reclaimed my life I feel sooo much better. I still believe in basic Christianity.

Update : No Im not getting a divorce but I drink coffee and we study scriptures at home sunday mornings with a nice leisurely brunch (Bible only) I think her shelf is now overloaded about to break with the help of an Ass Branch president !!
