I factchecked. They're real. FWIW.

That's not good. Even the little bit I know you, I would think that it takes a lot to impress you, Corsair!
The good news is that the United States does have similar cyber attack groups. The bad news is also that the United States does have cyber attack groups. This leads to another dichotomy of good news/bad news. The good news is that these types of operations will lead to fewer conflicts of open hostility. It's less likely to lead to an actual shooting war. The bad news is that war will still be carried out by other means.River Morgan2 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 4:12 pm It almost feels right now like the Russians are in charge, and the cyber attack is kind of sealing the deal. I hope that somebody somewhere can get a handle on things soon.
Thank you for the fascinating comment, Corsair! I'll be dissecting it for a while. It's that old Chinese curse again. May we live in interesting times.Corsair wrote: ↑Sat Dec 19, 2020 8:59 amThe good news is that the United States does have similar cyber attack groups. I have some acquaintances in the business and they do their absolute best to keep a low profile. It's challenging to keep military operations quiet, but cyber attacks more easily lend themselves to being quiet.
