This is the most fun I have had making a survival video. It snowed on me and my shelter did fantastic! built it from scratch like the old Mountain Men, and it worked beautiful. LOTS of fantastic forest and majestic mountains in the Kilgore Wilderness.

I am curious if you have read any of Tom Brown Jr.'s books. I had never heard of the guy until one of his books quite literally and mysteriously ended up on my doorstep. I am wondering if his books are actually useful for learning outdoor skills. There is controversy and skepticism about the guy's back story, but it sounds like his skills could be genuine.

Well done! My only attempt was a complete failure. I had better success with my mom's method using steel wool and flashlight batteries.
