So, the use of the Melchizedek Priesthood healing powers is apparently not going to happen in this plague. Too bad.
The world wide fasting and prayer to God Almighty to stay the plague did not work, it is absolutely RAGING OUT OF CONTROL. Too bad.
Will the watching of General Conference help stop it? Who knows?
Does anyone in the church actually see that they are powerless to stop this problem with all their putative Godly powers, and is there any kind of possible valid reason instead of ad hoc excuses?
Does God really have to kill so many thousands in order to terrify people into giving religion more money for a rainy day?
I am going to watch conference this time simply because of the extraordinary situation the world is in, and because religion has been taking for decades, it will be interesting to see what it can now give in the spirit of love and hope and help, besides words.
Is there going to be any revelation showing at last how to defeat this thing so that the Lord through his servants the prophets may get the singing and praise? Time will tell.

Just wait a few years. Conference speakers will produce tales of miracles out of thin air to remind us how they saved the world. Comparisons will be made to the Angel of Death passing over the Isrealites' homes. Imagine how bad the pandemic would have been without living apostles and prophets!

Prediction: at least one speaker this weekend will pull out the Angel of Death analogy.

Good prediction..... I think Ballard is trying very hard to put us all to sleep. I have never heard a more listless talk. Same ole same ole......Joseph and his family suffered, therefore, we will.......and it will be for our benefit. Nice deflection about Corona Virus without mentioning it. But all the elements are there to convince those believers that all will be well. Let us go on to victory!Offer an offering in righteousness, and listen to the spirit. Do acts of kindness. So, the first speaker offers no healing. And he did NOTHING with the different accounts on the First Vision other than mention them. So far typical Momonism......

They always make a huge deal of Joseph's claims that he was horribly persecuted by all religious sects when he was a boy because he said he had seen God and Jesus. I don't believe there is any evidence of this, or that he even made that claim until well after the BoM was printed.
