There’s plenty of time to protest and dismantle BYU’s 2020 Football Schedule one school at a time.

Just thinking about the honor code debacle and how we can force change. Money, bad PR, and
no BYU football are too 3 reasons that could force them to change. I’m thinking there’s plenty of time to protest and dismantle BYU’s 2020 Football Schedule one school at a time.

We need to organize and start to petition all of the schools that are scheduled to play BYU’s football team in 2020. With enough time the other schools can cancel their BYU game and reschedule with a new team.

Here’s the published schedule:

09/03 – at Utah (Thurs.)

09/12 – Michigan State

09/19 – at Arizona State

09/26 – at Minnesota

10/02 – Utah State (Fri.)

10/10 – Missouri

10/17 – Houston

10/24 – at Northern Illinois

10/31 – OFF

11/07 – at Boise State

11/14 – San Diego State

11/21 – North Alabama

11/28 – at Stanford

Here’s a simple template you can use to email the schools scheduled to play BYU in 2020.

As an Alumni of _________, I will no longer support the school through alumni donations and other means if _________ plays the BYU football team on (date).

I will reconsider if and only when BYU removes the recent Honor Code ban on homosexual relationships. I call upon you as school administrators to cancel your scheduled football game against BYU.

As alumni of ___________, I support the rights of all humans to enter into romantic relationships of their own choice and free will without the threat of violating any “Honor Code” and threat to be kicked out of school.

Sincerely, RR

Your bishop is going to have an aneurysm if he ever connects your real life with this posting.

Interesting idea. The rumor is that is what drove OD 2.

So how would someone organize something like this today?

There is a financial penalty attached to game cancellation. It is time for public schools (or even privates like USC and Stanford) outside of Utah to begin earnestly considering no further scheduling.

Might be a good time for the players on those other teams to don rainbow armbands when they play BYU.
