Check out #whyIleftmormonism on twitter. It is blowing up right now and has some wonderful gold comments in it.
A place to love and accept the people who think about and live Mormonism on their own terms.

They told me the three greatest enemies of the church were the gays, the feminists, and the intellectuals. I'm all three. #WhyILeftMormonism
Because if it’s true it should be able to stand up to scrutiny and research....as truth does, not just good feelings. After months of study & struggle the answer was clear, it just wasn’t. Pain and suffering followed...but so did a new world, clarity and joy! #WhyILeftMormonism
Now that we've had three major attacks on doubters and critics by church leaders in recent weeks/months, I wanted to outline #WhyILeftMormonism and why the problems are real and why the church is working so hard to keep members from looking beyond correlated church materials.
#WhyILeftMormonism my 72yo bishop asked 15yo me if I was totally naked, had the lights on, what positions I was in, if my boyfriend ever put his fingers inside me, then told me I should “date within my culture”
People say to me, “well, I know it’s true so none of that matters.” For me, I realized my testimony of Joseph Smith being a prophet was based on a Joseph Smith that did not exist. #WhyILeftMormonism
I started posing questions to those I had trusted; my Parents, Bishop, Seminary Leaders, and even my Stake President. They all gave me lies intended to quell my insatiable search for knowledge truth. I felt absolutely betrayed.
That's me haha... I put a long thread up which has gotten some decent responses. Twitter does not seem to be a great place for ex-mos to really flourish (compared to reddit for sure), but it's really fun seeing that hashtag get some momentum.hiding in plain sight wrote: ↑Sat Jan 26, 2019 11:07 amNow that we've had three major attacks on doubters and critics by church leaders in recent weeks/months, I wanted to outline #WhyILeftMormonism and why the problems are real and why the church is working so hard to keep members from looking beyond correlated church materials.

I could've made that thread about 10x as long and still not covered it all.
Excellent! The third crack on the proverbial shelf was watching the church require tithing out of the poor. So often, you heard lectures of "pay tithing first, then feed your family".
In other words, poor people should financially support white upper class American men.
