Powers of Ten

I have never been that interested in the science of where we came from, DNA, evolution, etc. It just never interested me. However, my eldest child is very much interested in astronomy, biology/life science so we read/watch a lot of related materials together. I don’t know if it is because I’m not TBM or if I’m just getting older, but I find my tastes and interests changing somewhat and I am beginning to find some of it fascinating.
We watched this video made in 1977 for IBM that shows the “Powers of Ten” – the video begins with a frame and moves out exponentially into space, and then does the same thing to the atomic level. It’s a fascinating video that really does get to the heart of how miniscule we are in the universe and how grand it is as well. I thought some people here might enjoy it.
