LDS Newsroom is reporting a letter has come to light believed to be from Fanny Alger.
January 10, 1834
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
“I recently became aware that certain news outlets are alleging that I had a sexual and/or romantic affair with Joseph Smith many, many, many years ago,” Alger writes in the letter, which Cohen provided to news outlets, including The Nauvoo Caller.
“I am stating with complete clarity that this is absolutely false,” she continued, adding that she considered Smith to be “gracious, professional and a complete gentleman.”
“Rumors that I have received hush money from Joseph Smith are completely false,” she wrote.
“If indeed I did have a relationship with Joseph Smith, trust me, you wouldn’t be reading about it in the news, you would be reading about it in my book. But the fact of the matter is, these stories are not true.”

Well,...there will certainly be an apologetic spin on that.
If Fanny didn't do it with JS, then more power to her--but it seems to me that she would want to douse any "scandal" that might have followed her around. Let alone we have the Hoffman forgeries, so are we really ruling out the possibility this is a nasty forgery?
And you kindof have a credibility conflict here with Oliver Cowdry,..you know?
"The Thunder Rolls".....
But Red Ryder...I'm also wondering if you are pulling my leg.....

Could you imagine if JS had won the presidency of the USA?

Consider your leg pulled. That's the exact language from a letter published by porn star Stormy Daniels attempting to refute allegations she had a sexual relationship with President Trump.

This is satire, but sadly that might not be apparent to every one.

Hillarious! I kindof thought it was BS....but comparing Trump to JS is really mean to Donald.
Come on people!

Chances are that if you see it in print it must be true.

BTW, exact terms of Fanny "Stormy" Alger's non-disclosure agreement have not been revealed, but it is rumored that she has purchased an 1833 Conestoga Wagon GTX.
Funny stories act as a counterbalance to all the tragedy around us.
