Warm Fuzzies

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

Warm Fuzzies

Post by Linked »

I still teach the Sunbeams with TBM DW. This year the primary theme is “I am a child of God”, so every week in sharing time the presidency will have a few kids say something from that week that helps them know god is their Heavenly Father. They are calling them “warm fuzzies”. The push to attribute every good thing to the god of Mormonism begins, superceding other possible causes of good in one’s life.

Today kids tied their friends, family, and games to Mormon god. The indoctrination continues.
"I would write about life. Every person would be exactly as important as any other. All facts would also be given equal weightiness. Nothing would be left out. Let others bring order to chaos. I would bring chaos to order" - Kurt Vonnegut

When I feel bad about how many years I spent plugged into the matrix, I have to but myself some slack and remind myself of the programming I went through nearly every Sunday+; the music, the memorization, the repetition and the confirmation bias. But even when I was full speed TBM, it always bothered me to hear little kids get up in sacrament meeting and bear their testimonies to the tempo of This Little Piggy Went to Market...

I know my family loves me
I know JS was a prophet
I know the BM is true
I know this church is true

It's just so wrong!
