NOMference Weekend of Service

Nothing like service to bring a little meaning and joy into your life. (Well, there is coffee, but if you mix the two, just wow!)
Do you guys remember somebody who used to post on one of the DAMU sites about a weekend or week of service during general conference?
I'm going to do a couple of service projects completely unrelated to la Iglesia, but in the name of and for the glory of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. I won't be wearing a yellow t-shirt or otherwise doing my alms before anybody since none of y'all know who I really am. If you're in the area and interested in the Habitat thing, go to
http://www.habitatuc.org/volunteer.htm and sign up.

Oh this is a wonderful idea! I've worked with Habitat for Humanity before. They are awesome!

I'm in Utah County, and I'm going to do a couple of service projects completely unrelated to la Iglesia, but in the name of and for the glory of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. One of them is a Habitat for Humanity construction opportunity. I won't be wearing a yellow t-shirt or otherwise doing my alms before anybody since none of y'all know who I really am. I think I just replied to your post on Reddit!

It was the poster known as The Running Mom who always did this.
I miss her. My autocorrect always changed it to The Stunning Mom.
Hope she's alright. She faded out a couple of months ago. How do people actually do that?

Yay for The Running Mom! Such an inspiration that she is The Stunning Mom. I had a chuckle over your autocorrect.
I hope she's alright too.

Hi everyone! Thanks for the heads up, Zack. I thought about showing up for the NOMWOS as usual. Looks like I should have! Maybe I'll get the ol' Wordle machine out once the sessions are over.
I'm doing well. I really don't think about the church very often anymore...old church friends have pretty much faded away, family finally accepts that we're done. Missionaries rarely come anymore. I can talk about church things now without pangs of guilt or pain.
I miss you all though so I'm going to return to NOM activity

Thank
you! for the inspiration to get out and give a little back. It was a great weekend for me because of that--because of you in part.
Glad to hear you're doing well, even moving beyond Mormonism in great ways.
Please do get the Wordle machine out, if you feel so inclined.
Zack
