This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.
I just had a great laugh. I was scrolling through LinkedIn and one of my contacts had liked a post that posed a hypothetical question--"If someone gave me a $5,000,000 tax free gift today, what would I choose to do for the rest of my career?" Interesting question to make you consider your values and passions. Anytime the PowerBall gets above $400M, I usually buy a ticket to let myself daydream about that exact question while having a non-zero (barely) chance of it happening.
People were responding with some interesting ideas, but then, this:
Greg Trimble wrote:Without a doubt, serve missions for the rest of my life.
"Healing is impossible in loneliness; it is the opposite of loneliness. Conviviality is healing. To be healed we must come with all the other creates to the feast of Creation." --Wendell Berry
Even as a TBM mrs RJ was told no way was I serving a mission of the proselyting variety (been there, seen it, done it) or the temple (like an extended carpeted version of the walking dead).
At the halfway home. I'm a full-grown man. But I'm not afraid to cry.
