I am quite fascinated to see what the "new garment styles and products" will be, but for now get some popcorn and enjoy the comments, in particular the ones about magical protection.

Garment change?....Oh MY! (I'm loosing my testimony!)

Hey...Its not completely germane but I heard some GA actually gave a talk about JS and HS taking off their garments before they went to Carthage,...and had they left them on they would have survived?

Don't know if that is true...but the "magic protection" comment brought that to mind.

I love the comments that say, :it isnt magic!" Then proceed to relate a faith promoting/magic story and say there see, its not magic!

This person has a testimony of the garment protecting them and is happy to bear witness on a post which is specifically addressing the garment. If the spirit doesn't testify to me, I believe, it is sadly, a reflection of me, not them.

Really? Yup, its all my fault if I dont feel what everyone else professes to feel. Jeez, this is herd mentality/conditioning at its best right there.

Looks like they plan to discontinue the men's one piece:

Cotton-Poly mid-calf bottom
Cotton-Poly zipper-front one-piece
Nylon Mesh one-piece
Corban one-piece (tall sizes)

I wonder if this means the last guy on the planet wearing them died? Funny, I would have thought

I thought you just made this up to be funny, but it's like actually the first story in the comments!

I have a friend who is basically a NOM, he returned from Afghanistan as a medic. We were talking about the fact the church and the military allows members to wear green garments under their combat fatigues. I asked him if he wore a pair during his tour and his reply has stuck with me: "I can testify to you, bullets fly through garments the same way they fly through a pair a normal military underwear." He saw nothing "magical" or "protective" about them.

This is half funny. My grandfather wore one-piece garments pretty consistently throughout his life and I understand that one of my great-grandfathers was committed to long sleeve one piece garments his entire 96 years of life despite living in Arizona. I'm sure that some of the discussion was literally how the market segment that wore one piece garments were largely in the spirit world.

I'll admit it - I was wearing one piece garments toward the end of my garment wearing days. Just as one of the commenters on the article states,

The battles I was having with my garments disappeared when I started wearing the one piece. I don't know what I will do without them once they are gone. The one piece prevents the rolling up of the tops, the problem when your pants waist doesn't match your garment waist, the issue of having to always tuck, and having so many layers around your hips and waist.

I was so tired of having the bottoms that went up to my armpits and tops that went down to my knees. With the one-piece it was one layer, there were no lines and everything was smooth. And way better during pregnancy than an elastic band that went across my stomach. A little weird and totally unsexy, but hey, garments are weird (and totally unsexy)!

I remember growing up having to hang my parent's garments on the line outside. I hated it. Dad wore one piece garments and I could never figure out how to hang those stupid things up. I remember realizing what they were, and what they meant for my future. It was not a happy thought. I was quite young when I thought "I don't if I can do that."

I shared a true experience on LDS living.

I suppose everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but as for me, I believe in the physical safety brought by wearing the garment. I have had a few experiences where I believe the garment has protected me. My experiences are nothing compared to my father. My father joined the Marines in WWII. He served in the Pacific theater. He grew up in Provo and joined with a few of his friends. Some of them ended up serving together. In one of his experiences, he was on the island of Okinawa. During an intense battle, he was under terrible machine gun fire. He had to leave his place between a tree and a rock. He and his buddies made a run for it. One was shot and killed immediately. My father ran hard. He had a bullet go through his right arm. Another ricocheted off his helmet and another hit the butt of his gun. His buddy next to him had his canteen blown off and a boot, and had his helmet split in half. He made it out uninjured. My father recognized the garment as protecting him from any bullets to the areas covered by his garments. His friend that was uninjured also saw the protection from his garments. They both survived the war, and served for years in the church. His uninjured friend later became general authority, even Paul H. Dunn.
Garments do protect us from harm.

I do know that garments make me invisible to women.

I've heard how uncomfortable the women's garments are. Do you know of women who wear the men's garments instead of the women's because they are more comfortable?

I have heard some women say they do that during pregnancy (wear mens bottoms)
