He pops up on Reddit every now and then, as far as those posts are concerned, he's doing fine.

You mean like parking the motor home at the rest stop of tranquility? Maybe Wi-Fi connections are not allowed there.
This sounds like an appealing retirement plan and a true path to real spirituality: travelling to scenic locations and communing with nature while also being out of contact with the LDS church and from the worst silliness of discussion boards.
