They are being pushy

Yesterday I found out The Silver Fox is visiting, and they Will hold a groupdiscussion with and for the YM/YW on april 14th.
Wendesday the mails/apps/calls started coming in.
Are your kids coming?
Do you need help?
Should we pick them up?
We are in stressed-out mode now as it is. And this isn't helping.
Son was bloody angry and told the bishop to just quit the crap and He would attend if He felt like it. At the moment that means a firm no.
But pres Uchtdorf, a once in a Lifetime chance they all sputter.
And DS said: it it's really that important to see him, maybe He could visit my sister at the hospital that day.
DD is scheduled to be taken in for a stay at the cardiologist that weekend for investigation.
DW mentioned it to the YWP, who said: too bad she can't meet President Uchtdorf......
I nearly exploded.

I really despise the apostle worship from so many TBMs. So pointless and shallow.

I'd love to get to answer that one. "Uh, well I don't worship church leadership or feel like they're that special so, no, I'm not concerned about missing this".
So true that "people that are in a cult, never think they're in a cult".

At the very least he could send a handkerchief to make it all better.
Seriously though, I hope the cardiology investigation proves to be nothing more then tests.

I mean, it's the least he could do, especially since his surprise visit seems to be all your doing.

What?
Maybe she wasn't thinking when she said that (I know that I say a lot of thoughtless things).
Why don't they ask Uchtdorf if he'll visit her? He may say no, but . . . I remember stories about these guys (years ago, before Uchtdorf was there) going to places and taking time to visit someone who was in the hospital (or home, with something bad, like cancer). It was good pr, if nothing else.
And, please, give us an update on your daughter. I hope nothing serious is wrong.
