So far, they seem to have steered well away from controversial topics: Covid, Masks, Vaccines, Abortion, LGBTQIA, Gun Violence...etc.

I wonder if that is a conscious choice?

It's even worse in my mind because today's church would never accept either an Alma the Elder or the Younger. Their early lives would forever bar them from higher church service. God apparently is unable to convert those who disagree with the church today.

My DH managed to turn it on, but he put ear phones in because he wants to avoid comments from the peanut gallery (me) but now he has fallen asleep. [start sarcasm] Funny how terribly important conference is to believers. [End sarcasm]
