I like where this was going so far. He was taught by sister missionaries, at a time when they probably made up only a tiny fraction of the overall missionary force (remember GBH saying he didn't want too many women serving? Jerk.)

That's pretty bad but I do like that he acknowledges that it's hard for new converts to adjust. Getting baptized isn't the happy ending.

That being said... last time I was at sacrament meeting (2 weeks ago) we were told to evacuate the premises IMMEDIATELY after the closing prayer. No time to be looking around and trying to befriend people, because of the Rona.

People are leaving religion because RELIGION HAS NOTHING TO OFFER THEM. Very few of us get a 6 figure "modest stipend," free travel and health care, free BYU for all our descendants, cushy red velvet chairs, etc etc etc.

Come talk to my kids who are on the spectrum from misotheist to agnostic to atheist. They all came by their beliefs honestly. And every single one of them has a HIGHLY developed, well functioning moral compass.
