It means two things:

1. The 2nd anointing is trumped by the first presidency's disciplinary actions.

2. The 2nd anointing doesn't mean what we think it means.

3. It's all Hocus Pocus™
I vote #3.

Thanks, Korihor. I'm guessing that's about as close to the horse's mouth as we're going to get for now unless there are pending legal repercussions. It was really smart to source this information through an exmo. Hopefully everyone can move on without much more damage to peoples' lives.

I repent of my negative speculations and wish them all the best. I will continue to ponderize what the church's actions and statements in this case may say about things that might be going on under the hood.

Same here. I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Was it a private facebook post. Kind of a pointless way to try to end speculation.

On another board, they are saying it's from the Mormon Stories Facebook page.

Boy...would I like to have some conversations with those historians.

If the church has this info, then pray tell me PLEASE WHY have they not published it, other than through the half efforts of the essays?

The Pacific Area will be especially concerned given his service in the Area Presidency not that long ago. Many members in Auckland have already started doing support messages on Facebook, not just to support a leader they vaguely knew, but for many someone they had a very close working and personal relationship with.

Question: Does anyone know what the Church Disciplinary process is for Stake Presidents and up?

My question, I would assume given he was in the 1Q of 70s, he had a Second Anointing. If he was ex'ed and had a Second Anointing. . . . big deal, his calling and election is secured, so party on!

After considerable prayer and fasting, I feel impressed to say that it won't be San Francisco.

From John Dehlin:
Last night during my interview with Grant Palmer about "Restoring Christ" he revealed three things:
1) His GA is not James Hamula.
2) His GA spoke with James Hamula yesterday, because they have a previous close relationship.
3) His impression is that Hamula was excommunicated for adultery.

Anyway, this all is to respond to the outpouring of questions to Grant through me from yesterday that basically asked, "Is Hamula Grant Palmer's GA." The answer to that is no. But Hamula is close with Grant's GA.

The church confirmed that this action was not taken because of disillusionment or apostasy.
Yes, that's an interesting "it's not us, it's him." kind of statement.
I realize the definition for disillusionment is "disappointed in someone or something that one discovers to be less good than one had believed."
But it also looks like "without illusion."
And in this context it's like, "This guy was ex'ed, but don't worry - he is still with illusion about the church, but if he became without-illusion, we would've had to kick him out. But you mind-controlled masses, if you worshipped him as we asked you too, remember you like he could still be with illusion."

So any more news about this? It's been a few weeks and surely the cat is out of the bag and word of his offenses should spread throughout the church social media sites like wildfire. Was he playing hide the salami with the ward RS president? Or perhaps with the ward EQ president?

I was reading the comments of the recent article Where Did God go? by Gina Colvin and came across these tidbits regarding Elder Hamula.
Apparently, he was very involved at in that whole temple/land grab in New Zealand. He was the Area president for that area in New Zealand. The comments suggest he 1)falsified the financial statement to the New Zealand government and 2) forged the church presidents signature.

In New Zealand the priesthood has been used exactly as described in D&C 121. It has been used as a tool to accelerate fear, pride, oppression and racism. Hamula has been at the center of this category 5 hurricane of unrighteous dominion. He was excommunicated and it was not for cheating on his wife. Someone forged the prophets signature on a document sitting on the NZ governments website and there has been a deafening silence from every level of church leadership for 4 years. Do you recognize this caricature of the church and priesthood?

The Good Samaritan teaches us that God does not take responsibility until we take responsibility. "After all we can do." We are his hands and feet in the moment and have a sacred responsibility, "war in heaven", to exercise our free agency. Its not about the church its about allowing the atonement to empower us to become fearless proactive disciples of Jesus Christ. If someone forged the prophets signature then you and I have a responsibility to make it right.

A self fulfilling prophecy. D&C 121. Unrighteous dominion and pride is an affliction exclusive to Mormon priesthood leadership. Its signs, warnings and remedies are throughout all scripture. It pushes Jesus, common sense and compassion into the back seat. Pride takes the wheel. Keeping up appearances and sparkle the accelerator. Fear is the steering wheel that attempts to navigate the once dark and now illuminated information highways. New Zealand and the collateral damage of unrighteous dominion. http://tinyurl.com/y8e3up2t Someone forged the prophets signature. Lies about how tithing is spent now exposed in the 2016 financial statement recently submitted to the New Zealand government. Hamula who was the Area President over the South Pacific from 2011 to 2014 has been excommunicated. Keep Tithing Local

The story that he was forging TSM's signature and doing nefarious business practices seems to make more sense than hide and seek with Capt'n Winky.

I think the church has done a bunch of crappy stuff with all that development circus in N.Z.

However, if Hamula was acting inappropriately, I don't really fault the church too much on this one. People will make mistakes. While I hold Apostles and Prophets to a higher standard than the rest since they speak with god, I don't condemn the church for firing someone that was grossly out of line nor do I condemn them for having a bad apple in the mix.

If this story is true, I think the church acted appropriately.
