Let's see if Uchtdorf can do anything for this abysmal session.

The church couldn't get them a place to meet?

I appreciate Uchtdorf's message but the church really doesn't operate like that. I get that he's presenting an ideal, something to strive to achieve, but that's just not how things have worked out in practice.
For example, he talks about overcoming differences and not trying to make other people believe as we do by aligning our self with Christ. The problem with that is that one group gets to define who Christ is and then... get this... make other people align to that definition of Christ.
There are belief questions in the temple recommend that seek to ensure that anyone that goes to the temple has a certain specific set of beliefs.
He also talks about the body of Christ, how not everyone is an eye, not everyone is an ear, how each person contributes to the whole, but then I show up at church as an ear but get callings an assignments suited to an eye. I have to become an eye to do what the church is demanding of me.
While I appreciate what he said as being an ideal, the reality of the situation is our practice is far far away from this.

I hope Uchtdorf gets to become prophet some day. Maybe he could make some meaningful changes.

Great comments.
I played with grandkids during this session.
My kindergarten age grandson wrote— I love the profit. I complimented him on his phonetic spelling.
Gotta love the indoctrination.

At least tomorrow I can play with my unindoctrinated grandkids.
