Slash or Schenker?

Nah. If they're playing with MoTab it will have to be Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, or Steve Vai.

Finally, I'm liking where this "rumor" thing is going!
Perhaps Santana?
I wonder if the COB lurkers are paying attention here. I'm pretty sure: "Guitar Heros featuring MoTab" could be quite the money making opportunity!

Afterthought: Or Guitar Heros and the spoken word...

1) Provenance - No one really knows who wrote this, only that the Q15 approved it. That would stick out quite a bit, even from the official declarations.
Perhaps: No-on on the outside knows who wrote it?

I'd bet a lot of tithing money that the Q15 that "approved" it have a pretty good idea who wrote it.

The lawyers at Kirton|McKonkie who wrote it know who wrote it too. ;) (They're not willing to violate their NDA though...)

The Oye Como Vas have it. Motion passed.
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

Opposed. Brother Van Halen is clearly favored above all others, save perhaps Elder Clapton.

My VT only texts me and counts it every month. I can count on her like clockwork-usually around the 30th.

I have told her to only text me - and she is welcome to come over but only if she doesn't have anything else better to do with her time and to never feel obligated. She has one Sunday calling and a weeknight calling as well. 4 kids- one is autistic and one has physical disabilites. She is orthodox-mormon and I am so glad she has taken me up on my offer. I was surprised she did, but I know there is relief on her end, I am one less obligation that takes her out of her home and away from her family.

My comment above was flippant....and you have shown where there is an actual case where TEXTING as a visit is a very good thing.

I loved your comment. You turned my comment around 180 degrees....PERFECT!

You know, I use to wonder why the "model" for proper visits (at least what I was taught), was that everyone needed to sit around in a circle, preferable over a kitchen table, and with our hands neatly folder, we have "a discussion". You know, I couldn't get my kids to sit down for half a minute, let alone have "a discussion".

If the church is ever gunna be more successful with visits, they have to catch up MORE with technology and how people communicate. I know they work on this now, but I don't know how much or integrated it is.

Are there missions where missionaries have the full-time responsibility to chat on social networks?

This whole thread makes me want to START a rumor and see if it gains traction.

We could start a rumor that Santana joined the church and had been called to accompany MoTab.

OK...OK....OK....hold on there mattie. I WANT TO DO THAT FIRST!!!

Probably 8 years ago, before my TBM system totally crashed REALLY BAD, I got onto a prepper site,... LDSAVOW. There were people who were following Julie Rowe and others. Following "Spencer", having dreams, and so forth. I found myself wondering--REALLY considerings mind you--how successful might be on that site if I assumed a different persona, logged in and slowly established myself as someone who was reserved, but had some critical things that I was "commanded" to share. Then, as my own established presence, had a conversation with myself in a way to promote what I was saying.

I SERIOUSLY believe I could get a movement going. I really think I could do that.

Realize that /r/latterdaysaints is considered the "saner" of the LDS centric discussion groups. /r/lds is more militant.

OK, these things are on a long continuum. The believing LDS subreddit groups tend to be a bit beyond sites like "LDS Living". I think it is simply the case that religious and political devotions push many adherents into these tribal groups that look increasingly unhinged to outsiders.

The problem on the LDS subreddits is that people are putting their uncorrelated thoughts into a public discussion group. These are the opinions and topics that informally filter around the wards in strong LDS areas. But a Mormon would not have these kinds of discussions in the foyer if the missionaries were also standing their with a wide-eyed investigator. Speaking about rumors from LDS doctrine and culture would immediately cease when an outsider is around. But there is no way to check temple recommends in a Reddit group so the crazy fringe feels ready to talk.
