Maybe you need to move to a new seat :) We're talking about two entirely different things here. The fact that our lives interconnect with people around us who recognize his authority doesn't mean we are obligated to do so. I recognize that a lot of people in my environment are influenced by Rush Limbaugh, that doesn't mean I can't be respectful of those people even thought I think he's a reckless dumbass.

Fair enough. Influence doesn't equate authority.
