Welcome NOM refugees to NOM 2.0

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

Lucky me, it seems that the old "banned forever" list didn't migrate to the new board.

Hey Everybody!
I'm pretty stoked to have this site to be a part of.

Confession: I took a break from NOM starting in June when I finally got with the times and joined Facebook. I've joined a couple of closed groups there but they aren't good at much else other than support.

The discussions here are great and I'm excited to re-engage!

Thank you for setting up NOM 2.0. I didn't contribute much to the old board but I read it often. As others have mentioned, none of the other boards felt quite right and it is good to have a new home.

Thank you to everyone who made NOM 2.0 a reality. I read NOM pretty much everyday, but did not post too often. I am going to try to participate more this time around.

We are all back in the Tapir saddle again. All hail Hagoth and company for pulling this together. I lift my glass in a toast of good luck to the new forum. may it live long and prosper.

Thanks for setting this up. I missed all you guys so much. Even my wife said she missed me updating her on all the NOM shenanigans. Now if we can just gather everyone back in.

Wow. It is so good to see everyone joining up and checking in. I had a burning in my bosom as I typed that.

When NOM went down, I seriously went into withdrawals, even though I had been mostly lurking before its demise. I then started to see people popping up on the ex Mormon reddit and Mormon Discussion Board. While there were some threads with involvement from our most well known nommies, it wasn't the same. It just gave me a small taste of what I missed.

I want to thank those that took the initiative to put up this new board. I am not sure what the cost of doing so was, or what the ongoing hosting costs may be, but I am happy to contribute money (you can buy anything in this world with it you know...) to the cause to keep NOM 2.0 going.

Cheers to all. Peace to all.

Looks like a lot of us are all back together. I guess I didn't really know about the MD board till a couple days ago. I found this one a few years back, liked it and participated intermittently. I do appreciate that this is more intimate than the reddit exmo. Anyway, thanks for everyone that made this possible!

I also don't post much anymore either, but I do enjoy reading what's going on. I hope everyone lands safely back in NOM land.
