Clearly Mormonism is getting ever so farther in my rearview mirror, in that I simply haven't listened to Mormon themed podcasts for a long while.

The ones I do keep up with are the above mentioned LDS Discussions ones - look, I know how the story plays out at this point, but the timeline format plays very well. And I do love it when Nemo pops in, those are my favourite ones. And to echo jfro's suggestion of the Sunstone History podcast, I enjoyed that - at least until my current apathy for all things Mormon. I've missed st least the last 15 or so episodes.

I have checked in with the Data over Dogma podcast, and have enjoyed it very much. I never realized how much the other Dan contributed until Dan Mclellan interviewed someone by himself, and I found myself missing the other Dan's comments.

But that's about it. I guess these days it's bad enough I have to go, I don't want much to do with it in my spare time.

If anyone is interested in fringe religion and fringe science in general, I would suggest Oh, No Ross can Carrie.

The tagline is: "When it comes to religion, spirituality, and claims of the paranormal, we show up so you don't have to." They will investigate various religions, often joining them for a period of time and afterwards examine them with a skeptic view. They will also look at anything fun and strange. Like they had an episode on how to telepathically talk to your cat and how your cat will help you assent. They have done spoon bending, various mystics, crystal healing, or even will ivermectin help with covid-19. (spoiler warning: no it doesn't.)

Yes, they join both Mormonism and Scientology, but you have to do some digging into their back catalog to find those episodes.

Podcast Trivia - Name the podcaster associated with these lines:

1. Yeah baby!
2. By the hoary hosts of Hoggoth!
3. Deniable Plausibility
Nailed it...

1. Backyard Professor
2. RFM
3. Bill Reel

Okay, additional trivia. Certain cacti cannot be displayed in Utah. Reason? Could be interpreted as being against the BYU honor code.

Are you certain? I would have guessed the cacti's shape or perhaps its porn shoulders. In any case, it is fun to learn about the Beehive State.
