I hear it's Easter, but after listening to an apostle I wouldn't know.

Maybe he's going to speak against the Jan 6 mob attack on the capital?
Not directly, but he gave it a nod +5
Yep. And another +10 for saying we follow the law and not a person (Trump).

It seems he is saying that the constitution is inspired. Everything that the church disapproves is caused by mortal failings. It's a "no true Scotsman" type approval of the constitution.

This reminds me of that time when Jesus taught the beatitude on constitutional process in a democracy......

My DH decided to run to the store and turned it off. He has been helping our senile neighbor, who really needs to be institutionalized, but they are waiting on room in the VA. It is a real mess, with his children trying to care for him from out of state and he can’t remember to take his meds or eat. And I am not about to turn it back on with Oaks talking.

Well, not directly. He alluded to "family issues" that he disagrees with. I thought he was going to be more direct.

I'll grudgingly give him +10 too. Enough politics in church already, and/or saying a particular party is of the devil. That's pretty key.

Who was the "impotent man" that was healed? I'm not aware of anyone with ED in the Bible.

-10 for lowering the bar on miracles ("countless hours" anyone?)
-10 for suggesting that anyone who calls a miracle a coincidence is just jealous
"If we say it's a miracle, it's a miracle, dammit." The power went off, then came back on, and that's a miracle. (Of course, most power interruptions are brief and temporary in a place with a reliable grid.) Wouldn't it have been even MORE of a miracle if the power never went out in the first place?
God I can't wait to hear RFM's take on this one. At least no one died from a priesthood blessing this time around.
