The ex-JW subreddit uses the terms PIMI (physically in, mentally in), PIMO (physically in, mentally out), POMI and POMO. Most of them are PIMO trying to become POMO. I've liked those terms since I first learned them.

Without feeling--those are arent in the in click...
Maybe the sister who just always seems depressed
Or the weird elder who doesn't fit in with the quorum
The DINK couple, or the liberal/progressive members.
You know, the members there that arent with the program because they clearly dont feel the spirit or they'd behave differently.

“Active without feeling”. How dehumanizing. I have feelings, just not the ones they want me to have.
Exactly. In spite of that, I have no problem owning my feelings when it comes to the church.

It's not clear to me what is meant by with/without feeling. Can you elaborate?
I assume it means something like spiritually dead or incapable of feeling the spirit due to coffee/porn/improper underwear, whatever.

I wasn't actually there, but impression I got was that it was something that came down from above, although I can't be certain that it came down from the very top (i.e. COB/Elohim himself)

Oh, some of us definitely noticed!
Then I went and tried to scare him off in some other thread.
I have
faith that he's gonna stick around though.

If this is a real thing in the church, I just took 8 steps closer to the door.
Who on God's earth is making the call whether someone is active with feeling or active without feeling?? Where did Jesus say anything about doing this?
