I remember hearing Truman Madsen talk about the "Abrahamic Test" idea....and how God requires that of everyone. I also remember hearing Boyd Slacker...I mean Packer...talk about how God, because he loves you, will break your heart.

These people are idiots. They have no handle on the reality of life and what can REALLY happen.

Let me give an example.

I know, because I've read and studied it, that solitary confinement in a small prison cell with no windows, where the lights never go off, and all you have for company are grey walls, a small stone slab to sleep on, and nothing to an enclosed space for months at a time--being let out during lockdown is a myth--I know that such an environment doesn't just break hearts,...it shatters minds.

Every study ever done, every single look at that environment, they all say the same thing--it causes serious and, as time persists, permanent psychological damage. Those who are called to go through that are shattered. If they try to commit suicide, they are strapped down for 24-72 hours in a 4 point restraint, and then punished for defecating on themselves, because they had no choice.

This is the reality of SuperMax prisons.

Does Truman and Slacker understand that there are some Abrahamic Tests that destroy--and is it really God's intent to "test someone" with something that has no return from it?

I think it is rediculous!. I think this doctrine is - to coin one of their own words -- abominable! I think these guys are totally off their rocker, not in touch with reality, and have no concept some of the total horse POOP they teach!

I've heard that Heber was tested in a way that was to his personal limit.

This is pure abuse, woven into doctrine. Will you still love your daddy if he abuses you?...and the abuse is just a test after all, even if it shatters you....? And by all means,...don't tell on daddy....don't do anything but love him because, after all, he abused you for your own good.

And this is the most damaging part of abuse. Being forced to continue to love the abuser. Battered wives know this. Battered or molested children know this. It is a terrible mind warp to have someone that you need for survival, and all of society says you can trust them more than anyone else in the world, and they are purposely hurting you, only they claim it is love, and everyone around you says it is love. But the abuser KNOWS that he/she is hurting you. And you experience it as terrible hurt, only it is good for you cause the abuser says so. And everyone says it is for your own good and that it is love.

I learned to hate Mormon God because lessons said that God loves us, just like our earthly father loves us, and will never do anything to harm us. Oh, he may do stuff we don't like, like send us to bed. But it is for our own good.

So then you figure out that this thing you didn't understand that your father is doing to you is sexual intercourse. And God may do things you don't like to test you, but he will never put you in a situation beyond your ability to handle, so, if you find yourself being raped by God because solitary confinement is more than your sanity can handle, remember that you have to pass the test and suicide is flunking the test.

So, that is why I say Mormon God is an abusive parent.
