He is 89 years old. Most people his age are in an assisted living home.

They would have to. Too many before him have gone senile or otherwise unable to fully function in their office because of poor health, for them to not have something in place. Kimball and Benson were both obviously senile, sitting on the stand in general conferences looking as if they had no clue why they were where they were - or even what this place was.

The powers that be have probably turned Monson's home into an assisted living home.
Going forward it might be easier to turn one wing of the hospital into residences for the Q15. Maybe build a tunnel between the conference center and the ICU.
Sorry, I'm going to hell for that joke. I hate to be insensitive. I wish them all well. Sometimes you just gotta laugh at life though.
