Totalitarianism.
Trump's power grab is cheered by many and denied by some. I know this is a religious site for NOM's, but Recent events convince me that Trump, though old, and probably borderline senile, is a threat to America and the constitution. I'm more worried by the people who succeed him, and those who worship him. A Christian Sharia state is a real possibility for my children and grandchildren. Am I overreacting?
God is Love. God is Truth. The greatest problem with organized religion is that the organization becomes god, rather than a means of serving God.

I've been re-reading books like Anne Frank, Zookeeper wife, And There was Light... I'm not posting much, the best resistance is often covert. Wise as serpent, harmless as dove.
The Mormons survived ww2 by helping Hitler with geneology records - they helped Hitler find Jews...
Hoping to get through the next years without losing job, protecting those I can, am actually currently working on building... a little remote place in the woods
- haha - liberals are the new preppers.

I think the majority of Trump supporters want to see America destroyed and replaced with something else, where they can hate on who they please and shirk paying taxes. Christian Nationalism with a strong fascist bent would fit this well.deacon blues wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 6:21 pm A Christian Sharia state is a real possibility for my children and grandchildren. Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.
