Negotiating with Reality.

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

Negotiating with Reality.

Post by deacon blues »

I woke up this morning with random thoughts about reality. I've tried to divide them into rules and guidelines. Here goes.
#1. You/I could be wrong. I put this in the rule category. I know people who are very uncomfortable with this  , so maybe guideline might be considered in negotiating.
#2. Life is hard, so be forgiving. I put this in the guideline category. Life is harder for some than others. If we think of the story the author of "Amazing Grace" we all should be forgiving. But forgiveness may take time.  :x :( :o  :? :)
#3. Everyone's reality is different, more or less. This is a rule. If you disagree, your reality is different than mine. ;) 8-)
#4. People choose to avoid uncomfortable reality/facts, otherwise know as cognitive dissonance. This is a rule! How could anyone deny this? their denial proves it. :o
#5. I forgot some others that I was dreaming about. What would you add?
God is Love. God is Truth. The greatest problem with organized religion is that the organization becomes god, rather than a means of serving God.

The more time you spend trying to prove to others that you are correct, the more likely that you are wrong.

Church that sends out missionaries, more likely wrong.
Trump throwing his weight around to prove he is strong, most likely weak.
