Priesthood session Spring 2023

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

It's all good! They really aren't giving us much to talk about. Which I guess, compared to past priesthood sessions, is a good thing.

Wow that was the end. So only 70s spoke. I wonder if this is tryouts for next GC. Rusty must be really going downhill then.

When Oaks takes over, I highly doubt we will get a chill priesthood session. So, I'm going to count this was a win. A sleepy, boring win.

That's it? Already over... and no RMN all day? Oaks must be really feeling it right now because it's almost his.

Somebody apologized??? What did I miss?

An apology in Conference is as rare as someone getting cancer and not dying from it!

Do we know if the auditing department even has access to Ensign Peak books? Even the Q12 didn’t know much about those EP accounts.

Edit: saw this in the SLTrib

Pretty good at ignoring reality aren’t they?

Oaks: -10 for showing his face to conduct.
Bragg: +50 for great talk (plus a fantastic delivery of it) that was Christ-centered and focused on a unique attribute (poise).
Carmargo: +10 for a generally Christ-focused talk at the start
-10 for then turning it into a Church-focused talk.
Nattress: +10 for a generally Christ-centered talk
-10 for then ruining it all with watered-down miracles ("he got a mission call!") and then talking about 3 Nephi once more.
Uceda: +25 for a Christ-centered talk and focusing on real ministering to those in need.
+25 for actually issuing an apology to someone. Sure hope Oaks was listening.
+100 to whoever decided to make the entire session just 1 hour and 8 minutes long. With none of the apostles speaking, to boot.

What was the apology for and what was said?
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

It was an Area Authority that apologized to a divorced member for not showing more support to them.
