Pretty good Sunday

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

Pretty good Sunday

Post by MalcolmVillager »

1 PM church sucks. Kills the whole day. That being said, it gave me time to watch Dan Vogel's evolution of Mormon authority part 1 https://youtu.be/tP_nMHqILyE and then listen to Jared Anderson's Mormon Sunday School podcast on PH restoration while making breakfast for my girls.

Then after doing some braids and heading to SM with the family, #5 DD wasn't feeling well so we got to leave right after the water. I am home now where I finished Dan Vogel's 2nd video and began season 2 of "The Path" on Hulu (highly recommend this!). DD is fine watching cartoons and eating snacks.

Happy sabbath everyone!

Time to smoke some flank steak.

Excellent. Definitely sounds like a good Sunday.

I hope #5 DD is okay. I envy you that, BTW. I wanted a a whole bunch of girls, but didn't happen. Ended up adopting one. Hopefully the teen years will/are better for you than us. Got enough attitude for fifteen fifteen year old's!

Anyway, good Sundays are small victories, so good for you. Enjoy your steak!

Sounds like a quiet Sunday. Thanks for the link, I'll check it out.

I was going to the LDS church today but the place was empty. A sign on the door said "Stake Conference" with an address. Stake Conference didn't sound appealing so I went to Community of Christ instead. It's nice to have options and established relationships in more than one group.

DD is fine. Thanks for the concern. When DW got home she said "I think DD is allergic to church". I hope she is right. I am getting that way too.

Stake conference is vacation weekend for us lately. I just can't handle adult sessions or PH leadership and the general session seriously kills the kids. We get nothing out of it.

I envy your Sunday, apart from the illness of your daughter. I had to go to all three hours of church today, and I wanted to pull my brains out through my ears - the stuff I had to hear today was really annoying. Usually we take two vehicles to church, and today we just took one and I had no means of escape. That WON'T happen again!

Like Mormorrisey I envy your Sunday.
Yesterday I attended Sm and Ss for the first time in months. Visiting our favorite winter destination and always felt the church was more palatable en Español. This time however it was awful.
If anyone is in Cabo the next two Sundays let's go for cafe.
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing, there is a field. I'll meet you there.
