How did I not know about this?

The co-director of Sundance and the director of LDS temple films is in prison for child sexual assault. It has been revealed that he sexually abused at least two boys and a girl.

According to John Dehlin, he was asked by the the church to direct the temple endowment films even though they knew about his history of sexually abusing children. Anybody have further details or clarifications?

I remember discussing this on the board or exmo Reddit. As far as I recall, this hit the news cycle right after they changed the movie to the power point presentation version currently in use? As if someone gave a heads up, this guy was going to be charged or something.

I don’t recall hearing the church knew and still asked him to direct the temple movies. But then again I don’t listen to Mormon stories very often.

Either way, it’s good to see he’s in jail.

Another embarrassment to the church and its claims of truth and righteousness led by God.
