Lunch with Red Ryder anyone?

Lunch with Red Ryder anyone?

Post by Hagoth »

In another thread RR mentioned that he'll be in the Salt Lake valley this Friday, June 18th.

Anybody want to meet up for lunch?

I’m pretty flexible with schedule on Friday so I can travel wherever is most convenient for everyone.

Would like to, but my wife might ask questions and then that could be problematic. It would be great to meet you guys sometime though.

Hermey suggested a food court, which I think is a good idea.

South Town is most convenient for RR. Fashion Place is midway north/south. City Creek is best if you want to head over to the temple afterward and do a few endowments. ;) Any preferences? Or other suggestions?

Noon? 11:30 to beat the lunch crowd?

I wish I could make it! I've got a campout that weekend planned with my son so I'll have to take a raincheck. Leave a seat open for me like Elijah? ;)

Can't make it, but I will send my spiritual stomach for a nosh.
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

OK, I'm gonna call it.

Friday 11:45 at the Fashion Place mall food court. I don't know either mall very well, but from online photos Fashion place looks like it has better seating for a small gathering of thugs.

Let me know if that doesn't work for anyone. Any suggestions about where to sit or a method of mutual identification (apart from the dark cloud of apostasy) would be welcome.

Wait... Isn't RR going to be wearing his Cowboy Hat?

No?

I think it's Hermey's turn to wear the NOM Santa Hat.

My schedule looks good so far... But we're not even half-way through the week. :geek:

Works for me. Thanks for throwing this together Hagoth!

Ironically for our NOM lunch groups, Beetbox used to bring a white binder with a picture of your avatar. Worked perfectly.

I'll try to be there by 11:30.

For those who don't know me, I'll be in my standard physical configuration: 63-year old male, shorts, black T-shirt, gray cap, short gray beard, tiny conjoined twin growing out of the back of my neck.

My schedule is still looking good, so I should be able to join.

Since y'all are too wimpy to wear a silly hat, I'll wear a "Panama" style hat: (Mine is not quite as cool as this one)

And my new favorite shirt hopefully:

Well then... I look like Hagoth and Hermey had a baby, but clearly not as well dressed as Fluffy.

I packed my temple robes and hat but they got confiscated at the airport by the bakery K-9 unit so I’m unrecognizable by Mormon standards.

ETA:
Nice to meet you all in person. Wonderful discussion.
