Just sayin hi!
Hello everyone, just sayin hi and introducing myself. I've been reading through a bunch of your topics and thought I'd join. I have a few questions I'll be posting in the near future, look forward to talking to you. Feel free to ask me questions.
Re: Just sayin hi!
Welcome!
What brings you to NOM?
This is one of the best places to work out your fears that Mormonism isn’t exactly what it claims to be. Or if you’re questioning your faith, wondering why satan gets more attention the Jesus, or looking for food storage alternatives.
Some of us have been around for years waiting for our loved ones to acknowledge our perspective is different but our hearts are the same.
Enjoy reading and jump in to the conversation.

Re: Just sayin hi!
Thank you. My wife and I are still active but I started to study church history about 2 months ago and have a few questions. Cant really ask family right now because I cant rock the boat, so I thought I would reach out to strangers to see if they can help me find some answers . I am active on a pro mormon board but some of the questions I have, i dont think i can ask over there without being kicked off. I've been reading through some of the post here and you guys seem very knowledgeable and willing to let people ask questions that might be viewed by some as "negative" toward the church.

Welcome Mike. Sounds like you have come to the right place!

That is a concern with some boards that push a sugarcoated history. They have pounced upon questioning members in the past.Atlanticmike wrote: ↑Tue Feb 23, 2021 6:14 pm I am active on a pro mormon board but some of the questions I have, i dont think i can ask over there without being kicked off.
There are some pretty knowledgeable posters here and they will not judge your questioning.
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

Welcome to NOM! I think the group here is more open to critical questions than the pro-church boards, but not as harsh as some of the other online communities out there. I hope you find what you are looking for here!

We're glad you found us. We seriously will answer any questions you have about the church.

Welcome to NOM - these are good people who have been beyond helpful to me since I joined I think 2.5 years ago.
Fire away on the questions - it's always good to have conversations on these topics!

Welcome, Atlanticmike!
This is a good place for questions. I have found the group here to be very accepting of a wide range of beliefs and very willing to engage in honest conversation.
Looking forward to getting to know you and your story!

Hey Mike, just read your response to John Williams over at Mormon D&D and I really appreciate you for it.
