This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

Too bad the A**hole God that Holland is accusing other religions of believing in is THE EXACT GOD THAT WE BELIEVE IN.
Yeah, but he's our asshole.

I don't know Holland. Don't fool yourself. Hindsight is a very different thing.
It's easy to say you hope for, or would do many things you have today or know about today. But if you were raised in the 1800s away from Mormonism, you'd likely be just as committed to your falsehoods you were raised with then as you are now.

+200 for actually talking about the virus...and providing some hope. +100 as well for talking about hunger and poverty. +100 for talking about school violence. +100 for talking about against racial prejudice.
Ok. Holland did ok in this talk. True Kudos.
Patience and forgiveness. This is good stuff! Let's talk about a better world. Yes! Yes! Yes!

Yes. But he did miss some stuff. But you could easily add those things to a lesson/talk about this talk. He gave us some good progressive material.

+50 for recognizing today's religious short comings.

I either love or hate Holland's talks. No middle ground. I was wishy washy about the beginning (he really, really doesn't understand the state of religion in early 19th century America) but this is good.
Poverty and school shootings are things that have affected my family directly. But they aren't the kind of things GA's like to talk about.
