Special Session NOMference!!!

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

This poor kid is sweating profusely. +5 to help him get through it.

And there it is. Finally. Joseph is second only to Jesus.

Took long enough.

Mormorrisey wrote: Sat Apr 04, 2020 5:11 pmNot only that, but do these people even know what the word "historic" means? My God, not everything is the best ever. The last two sessions, which kind of sucked, are proof of that.
Here's the thing though: Every conference is historic! I mean: Literally every one of them has been held on a different date. EVERY ONE!

Which of course means: None of them are historic. All are equally mind-numbing and boring.

Except: It seems to me they'ave actually one-upped themselves, and made this one even more boring than any before. And most definitely completely irrelevant given the state of the world.

Maybe the crazy Hankey waving tomorrow will make it all better.

-5 for spreading dubious priesthood claims
+10 for being brave enough to do this as a kid. Same +10 to Kaouk.

Every word these kids say makes me think that my pipe dream of women and the priesthood is just that...not this year, sisters. The longer this drags on, the more young people they will lose.

Nelson himself has forwarded this idea the most over the last decade. It's garbage.

Agreed. Extremely orthodox talks. For youth speakers, they are very good talks. Brave kids. But orthodox, as would be expected. Maybe next time they'll ask Jaxon Washburn.

It's hard to get rid of everything being literal in Genesis 1-9 and keep the BoM.

The more I think about it, the more I land on the youth speakers serving two purposes:

1) Youth retention. Conference is now more than old people talking at me. Which brings me to the second purpose...
2) Give exemplars of a young woman and young man in church. "This is how you should be."
