Unrecorded Biblical Passages

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

Unrecorded Biblical Passages

Post by moksha »

In the Book of Genesis, it says, "God asked Cain, 'Where is your brother Abel?' Cain replied, 'I don't know. Am I my brother's keeper?"

For whatever reason, some of the dialogue is missing. Not to worry, here is the missing reply, "You idiot, of course, you are your brother's keeper. Do you need a written manual or something? Jeez!"
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

Even when I was a kid I thought Cain's response should have been, "As if you didn't know!"
“The easy confidence with which I know another man's religion is folly teaches me to suspect that my own is also.” -Mark Twain

Jesus: "The Kingdom of God is within you." The Buddha: "Be your own light."
