Best sunday in a long time.

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

Best sunday in a long time.

Post by No Tof »

I just logged on and lurked on a couple of postings when I noticed the date and time. It's 10:30 pm and I just realized it is sunday. I have been in bed for a couple of days with a bad cold, and time slipped away from me. I spent the day working with my son in his business and never really noticed what day it was. Funny how most of my life, the sabbath was so important and now it can be just a nice day.

Moving on can actually happen.
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing, there is a field. I'll meet you there.

It is nice to be able to spend a day of rest, really at mental and emotional rest - no guilt-trips or list of "shoulds."

The LDS church has a very narrow view of the Sabbath as a Day of Rest. Clearly No Tof got the full benefit of a day to truly recharge a well of resilience. It's not the same for the TBM crowd.
