What are you drinking right now?
Re: What are you drinking right now?
Sheesh, Moksha! I was believing there really was a drink by that name at the beginning of your post.

Pina Colada with Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum. I just gotta say, I love funky Jamaican rum.

Least night I had a bourbon chocolate maltshake. Delicious!

Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest 2019. I love their Oktoberfest collaborations. I haven't liked them all equally but none of them have been a disappointment.

Re: What are you drinking right now?
DW made mulled wine last night.
Took a couple half empty bottles of red wine, an orange, a lemon, sugar and various spices. Bring to boil, simmer 15 minutes, let cool and finally strain.
That was good. That would really be nice in colder weather.

Skip the boiling and fortify it and you're most of the way to a Sangria which is good for warmer weather.Just This Guy wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 9:31 am DW made mulled wine last night.

Oh man, I had sangria the other day. It was really really good. One of my co-workers who is familiar with my situation told me I was taking to the alcohol thing way too well.Dravin wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 9:39 amSkip the boiling and fortify it and you're most of the way to a Sangria which is good for warmer weather.Just This Guy wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 9:31 am DW made mulled wine last night.

Tawny port. God I love port. I just told Spouseman that I wasted too many years of not drinking when I could have had port.
Re: What are you drinking right now?
Tawny Port and Sauternes wines are both excellent for cooking. Do you also like ruby port?
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

I'm enjoying a cranberry blood orange black tea. It's my first loose leaf tea, and I can see myself falling down the tea rabbit hole rather easily. I bought some small sample tins of things that sounded interesting online. I'm looking forward trying the other two I got:
I kinda know the feeling. After reading about all the people who struggled to enjoy alcoholic beverages it wasn't something I had to force at all. I just love the world of flavors I'd never experience otherwise.

Re: What are you drinking right now?
Is that an apple wine that is spiced? Or a spiced and apple flavored (grape) wine?BringEmYoung wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 1:25 pm This reminds me that my apple spiced wine should be about ready to drink now.

Re: What are you drinking right now?
4 cups apple cider
1/3 cup apple brandy
1/8 tsp cinnimon
Dash Alspice
Dash Nutmed
Dash ground cloves
2 tablespoons spoons caramel (I got a maple caramel which is really good)
Mix all ingredients except caramel in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, add caramel. Heat, stirring occasionally, until hot and caramel has dissolved, about 3-5 minutes. Serve immediately. Serves 4-5.
