I'm wondering how they figured out who should play the parts for Lamanites since their genetic trace is so diluted, no one has a clue what they looked or look like.....

Which brings up the point, if Joseph and his book taught that the Lamanites were cursed with a "dark" skin, how is it that the native Americans also have a relatively dark skin if the dark skinned Lamanite dna washed out?

Did Joseph get lucky in the sense that both early Americans AND Lamanites are dark complected? So no one can tell the difference....?

Were pre-BOM Native Americans also cursed with a dark skin?

Sorry, didn't mean to de-rail.

You're not really derailing this... those problems are going to play into these videos because of the massive DNA issue/geography issues/etc.

I want to see the videos where they recite Isaiah in 2 Nephi to fill in the space that would've been the lost 116 pages.

Wow, there are a lot of pictures of female characters in the article considering that only three female characters in the book are mentioned by name in the Book of Mormon, and one of them is The Harlot Isabel. Looks like they are going to try and portray more gender equity than is actually in the book itself. Or the Church itself, for that matter.

Wonder if they are going to get someone hot to play The Harlot Isabel? The Book of Mormon specifically says she had stole away the hearts of many, which would imply she was a real looker.

Sounds to me like the Book of Mormon done after the style of the work and the glory:
With the Book of Mormon, one thing we’ve actually tried to do (is) add a little bit more story,” producer Jaelen Petrie says. “Character arcs and characters are formed, and we go through it with them.”
Can't wait to hear all the testimonies about the new video series.

I just hope they use the word "papanya" as fake indigenous language meaning "Dad". Oh and a cute monkey too.

That film was THE WORST. Even when I was fully in that movie sucked large.

I’ll probably skip the theater and wait to see it once it goes to film strip.

Depends on the genetic story. If Lehi's genetics got subsumed quickly, then she might have been. However, if the limited geography model is correct and genetics remained pure then it might be a different story...
