I will likely have to take this training. I doubt it is anywhere close to the BSA training. I also doubt a background check is required either.
Still sounds lame.

Re: Required training to prevent abuse
Just this past week I had to renew abuse training for scouting and had to take a separate course to coach my son's soccer team. They were each 2+ hours of information, training, and scenario quizzes. I finished the church training in 20 minutes, including interruptions from kiddos in the house.
Well, I'm better than dirt! Ah, well... most kinds of dirt; not that fancy store-bought dirt; that stuff is loaded with nutrients. I can't compete with that stuff. -Moe Sizlack

What is the main instruction in the new training that is supposed to mitigate abuse?
Re: Required training to prevent abuse
If you suspect or hear about abuse and you are a regular member, call the authorities. If you are a leader, call the Church's law firm.FiveFingerMnemonic wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 7:40 am What is the main instruction in the new training that is supposed to mitigate abuse?
Okay, that's all I know about it. I haven't gone through any training.
