Christianity, the hard way

It’s all very complex.
Dealing with a Faith Crisis.
Or to be more exact, people finding out about the Truth-Crisis.
Been chatting with 2 sisters the last month.
One living in Holland, and the other in Korea.
One is out for over 2 decades and recently found out.
The other is still in but severely shaken by all the LGBTQ-rhetoric of the last few years.

Add in all trauma the LDS-church caused by all manner of undue influencing and manipulation.
The warped family-life and much more such as abuse, mental and physical.
It’s so painful to hear, all of it.
Some things I heard have reduced me to tears.
The faith-transition is one of the hardest things I have ever done.
If not the hardest.

My mom told me recently, you always have to do things the hard way.
The hard way is your way, the harder the more you seem to relish it.

Mormonism, Christianity the hard way.

I'm not sure that there is an "easy" way to do Christianity or Mormonism at all without resorting to a confident ignorance. This is one aspect of "ignorance is bliss" and I think we all understand how things used to be when we were all believers. Living authentically is a paradox because we will go through a lot of existential pain on the way to becoming happier.

I agree that Mormonism certainly is a hard form of Christianity. I remember as a kid being grateful I wasn’t Amish or JW. Has a neighbor friend who’s oldest sister became a JW. They lived right next to my friend. While my friend celebrated Christmas, his JW family didn’t. I was traumatized that they didn’t get presents.
