My DH turned off the TV and said he couldn’t “sit still” any longer right at the end of Anderson’s talk. But he was kind of funny about it, like he didn’t want me criticizing it, so he wasn’t going to say that it bothered him. I had not been in and out of the room, and didn’t catch much, so I wasn’t sure what the talk was about, but I guess no coincident that he turns THAT talk off. He’s liberal even if he is TBM. Before he has turned off conference because it gets obnoxious. Sometimes he has even said that a talk was homophobic, or sexist.

So, guess any talk that has TBMs walking out in disgust deserves such a terrible score.

I agree. I'm actually glad I didn't hear that talk. Thank you for keeping these threads going and for listening and reporting back!

Of course it was Anderson. The same twit who wanted us all to brainwash ourselves with the JS story a few years back. Such a turd.

That whole talk was an absolute disaster.

• Record yourself reading the testimony of JS and listening to it until you receive the witness you seek.
• Defectors from the church compared to Judas.
• Use of the salamander letter to criticize people that left the church.

The entire talk was a JS worshiping love-fest and highly critical of anyone that didn't absolutely worship the ground JS walked on. And it wasn't even his, "give Brother Joseph a break!" talk. The man has had some real stinkers over the years and until this talk I always assumed that he was sealed as a spouse to JS.

Glad I missed this year's talk.

I caught a few minute of the Saturday afternoon session when I stopped by my parents place. They were in the middle of the leadership changes (releases, calls, sustaining, etc.) Is it just me, but I thought they used to do all of that in the Sunday morning session. When did they change it to Saturday? Or am I that out of it that I don't remember it correctly?
