This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

Oh wow, the one female speaker for Saturday is the second overall. Guess they wanted to get her out of the way early.
Hey!! Glad you are here!
Thanks!
I'll probably blow off the afternoon and priesthood sessions so I can go drive Uber.
DH doesn't mind if I miss conference as long as I'm making money
We shouldn't lower our standards to make other people feel comfortable. A couple of thoughts...
1. she should be telling this to the First Presidency, they just lowered their standards in a BIG way
2. it's BECAUSE my standards are high that I want to make people feel comfortable. Trying to be like Jesus is the highest standard of all. I try to treat other people - even the gay ones! - how I think Jesus would treat them, not how President Oaks (by his own admission!) would treat them.
Oooooooh don't even get me STARTED about God personally intervening to get people a better job. My husband has been laid off SIX FREAKIN' TIMES, even when we specifically asked God for it not to happen.
I guess I should have been related to a Q12.
+5 for a person with a disability being allowed not to be happy and cheerful ALL the time.
"Eyes closed in meditation" that's what my husband is doing right now. He's meditating so deeply that I can hear his snoring all the way down the stairs.
